I was thrilled to come home today to a couple of boxes titled Workman Publishing. That could only mean one thing...Kinfolk Table has finally hit Boston General Store. I poured myself a glass of wine and started my journey through one of the best cookbooks I've ever seen.
Reading the introduction by Nathan Williams (co-founder of Kinfolk) gave me a renewed sense of what it means to "entertain". It is about great friends and great food. Some where along the way we get lost in the preparations to make a really elaborate evening. We lose sight in what the night is really about, enjoying each others company.
My new years resolution was to simplify my life and I think along with that it will be to re-focus myefforts and keep family and friends even closer. I invite everyone to take a look at this book (even if it isn't purchased at BGS). I promise it will be well worth the 35 dollars.
