What is your return policy?
Items returned within 30 days of purchase in their original condition can be exchanged for a full refund. For items returned passed 30 days of purchase, we offer store credit. All sale of socks, undergarments and vintage items are final. Apothecary and pantry products (consumables) once opened cannot be returned or exchanged, unless defective.
We do not cover the shipping costs for online returns unless the product was defective or an error was made on our part.
Where do you source your products from?
We curate our collection of products from every corner of the world, without bias against any country or place of origin. We have three basic standards which we stand by when sourcing new products: Quality, Honesty, and Functionality. If items are made well, made honestly, and have a clear function then we will consider them as part of our collection.
Can I suggest a maker/product for you to add to your collection?
Yes, you can. In fact, in addition to online research, antique markets, and global trade shows, the other way we find new makers is through referrals and suggestions from folks like you. If you have a product or maker you want us to know about, send their website or online catalog to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How are online orders shipped/When will my order arrive?
Online orders are packaged within 2-3 business days of purchase. We typically send orders USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class (we use both equally) which takes an additional 2-3 days to arrive to your mailing address. However, if alternative shipping companies offer an equal shipping type at a lesser rate, we will choose that method.
Do you ship internationally?
While international shipping is available, we advise that you calculate shipping costs during the checkout phase before completing orders. Depending on shipping destination, you may also be charged additional fees, taxes, or tariffs due to your country's customs regulations.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, gift cards are available to purchase in any denomination (a minimum of $10 required). Gift cards do not expire, however lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
Do you wholesale products made by Boston General Store?
Boston General Store is launching its own brand of goods in 2018! We're starting our Bostonia 1630 line with a collection of natural apothecary goods, so stay tuned for more details on wholesaling our products for your business.
