The Boston General Store had its first pop up shop this past Saturday and we had a blast. While marketing for the event a lot of people asked me "What is a pop up shop?". Simply put a pop up shop refers to the short-term duration of the store(s), which appear one day and are gone the next.
The goal of BGS is to one day have a brick and mortar shop but until then we will focus on finding really great products for you online and become involved in as many pop up shops as possible. Our first one took place in Lowell, Ma in the coolest spot called Mill No.5 (http://www.millnumberfive.com). All the folks there were really great and made the day a huge success. That was our first shop. We learned a ton and can't wait for the next. Keep checking back for our next day and location not to mention a workshop or two.
