Yuta's Premium Yabukita Matcha
Yuta's Premium Yabukita Matcha is a carefully crafted, high-quality matcha tea—vibrant, grassy, and refreshing. A natural addition to Comins' range of specialty teas, it's sourced from a small-family run tea company in Japan, led by Yuta Nagatani.
Made from Japan’s renowned Yabukita cultivar, this well-balanced matcha offers bright flavor with subtle herbal and mineral notes. Roasted at a slightly higher temperature, it develops a subtle, toasted almond-like flavor. It's ground using an ishi-usu, a traditional Japanese stone matcha mill, until it achieves a fine, velvety texture for smooth whisking.
Ideal for everyday enjoyment or mindful moments, it delivers a rich cup rooted in centuries of Japanese tea-growing tradition.
About the farmer: Raised among the fields and factory, Yuta learned traditional cultivation and harvesting techniques from his father. Today, he leads his family’s seventh-generation farm in Ujitawara—the birthplace of Japanese green tea—operating since the end of the Edo era.
