Sometimes the most beautiful tools and accessories are the simplest ones. When quality materials and solid craftsmanship meet good design, you're left with a product that serves a purpose, performs reliably, and in the case of this pen roll, looks better with age. No bells and whistles are needed here—this one speaks for itself.
The Superior Labor's Leather Pen Roll is a timeless accessory designed to provide an organized way to transport and protect the tools of your trade or hobby. We like it for holding a collection of fountain pens, but it's equally suited for carrying small paint brushes, leather-crafting tools, or colored pencils.
Made from high-quality Japanese oiled leather with solid brass hardware, the roll will develop a rich patina over time. The leather will soften and darken with age, and the brass will deepen in color as well.
With a roll-up design that allows for compact storage and convenient transport, this piece is perfect for students, artists, and professionals alike. We love a good everyday carry accessory and this Leather Pen Roll is on everyone's wishlist here at BGS!
Materials: cow leather
Made by: The Superior Labor
Made in: Japan
Specifications:
The Superior Labor uses natural leather, which will develop scuffs and scratches over time. This is an intentional material choice and adds to the development of the leather's character and patina. Some scuffs or scratches may occur during the manufacturing process and therefore may be present when you receive your item.
Natural leather will vary in color, thickness, and texture. Photos show a close representation of these elements, but there may be slight variation in the finished product you receive.
As this wallet is made by hand, some (slight) variation in the above measurements may be expected.
Care: Exposing the leather to water may lead to stains or color transfer.
Further Reading: As a child, Makoto Kawai would drill metal in his grandfather's workshop, where he associated the smell of burning iron and oil with the industry of hardworking adults. He eventually became an auto repairman himself and later worked at a secondhand clothing wholesaler. In the mid-90s, a trip to America to buy clothes led him to meet a leather craftsman, sparking his interest in leatherwork. In 2007, he founded The Superior Labor. His experience in auto repair has influenced the brand's manufacturing and their mission to take pride in craftsmanship and never skimp on time and effort.
