Le Grand Tradi Chef's Knife
Le Grand Tradi (the large traditional) is based on Goyon-Chazeau’s popular Le P’tit Tradi Paring Knife. After using her P’tit Tradi knife over and over again to prepare family meals, Magali Soucille had to cut a piece of beef too wide for the blade of her paring knife. She asked her husband, Vincent, to design a knife with the same qualities as the P’tit Tradi, but capable of handling larger kitchen tasks while remaining easy to use. And so, the Grand Tradi was born!
Handmade in Goyon-Chazeau’s workshop in Thiers, France, this 5" chef’s knife is crafted from one of the finest cutlery steels available: Sandvik 14C28N steel, enriched with carbon. Its slightly smaller size offers excellent control for clean, precise cuts, while the full-tang construction extends the steel through the handle for added strength, stability, and balance when chopping, dicing, and slicing.
The ebony and sapwood handle is smooth and comfortable in the hand, as any frequently reached-for tool should be. Also called Mozambic ebony, the striking two-toned wood ranges in color from warm honey to deep brown and is prized for for its exceptional hardness, density, and natural water resistance.

Care:
- We recommend washing these knives by hand with a soft sponge.
- Do not leave the handle in prolonged contact with water or a heat source.
- Wood-handled knives should never go in the dishwasher.
- Wipe off as soon as washing is finished, and store in a dry place.
