Boston Safety Matches

Strike up a conversation — and a flame — with our bespoke safety matches. Custom designed for Boston General Store by Peter Voth, the box commemorates two noteworthy events in Boston history: the Boston Tea Party and Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride.

We love a product that combines form and function in equal measure, and these matches do the trick. The generously sized matchsticks are useful for starting fires in the fireplace or lighting candles and incense, and the box is its own work of art on a literal matchbox scale. The depiction of Boston’s most storied revolutionary events is rendered in such careful detail that you’ll want to examine it with a magnifying glass. Just look at the tiny boxes of tea floating defiantly in Boston Harbor! Huzzah!
