Papier D'Arménie, Tradition

Papier D'Arménie is a unique air freshener from Paris. This little pocket-sized booklet contains sheets of scented paper. Simply tear out a strip, fold it accordion-style so that it stands up, place it on a heat-proof surface, and light a corner of it. It will burn for a few moments, releasing its scent, not unlike incense. It can also be used without burning it, by placing sheets in drawers or closets, where the scent will release gradually over time.

About the scent:  Papier D'Arménie's original scent, "Tradition", has been used as a home fragrance since 1885. With sweet vanilla and balsamic notes, it replaces odors from cooking, smoking, or animals. The unique smell comes from Benzoin resin, the disinfectant properties of which were discovered by Auguste Ponsot in 1885, during a trip to Armenia. Benzoin was formerly used externally to treat a variety of ailments. While it's still used today as a healing agent, its use here is strictly for its pleasant fragrance.

New name, same fragrance! If you've ordered Papier D'Arménie from us before, this is the same original scent we used to refer to simply as "Papier D'Arménie". We're now offering two other scents: Rose and Arménie. So this product has become "Papier D'Arménie, Tradition".
