Redecker's wooden dish brush is a sustainable alternative to plastic dishwashing tools like scrubbers and sponges. Made in Germany from untreated beechwood, natural fiber bristles, and stainless steel, it’s practical, durable, and well-designed—everything we look for in an everyday tool.
The brush head is replaceable and comes in two options: soft horsehair ideal for glassware and plates or stiff tampico fiber for tough messes and stuck-on food. Replacement heads are available and easy to swap in, making this a long-lasting addition to your cleaning routine.
Materials: untreated beechwood, stainless steel, tampico fiber (light-colored, hard bristles) or horsehair (dark, soft bristles)
Made by: Bürstenhaus Redecker
Made in: Germany
Specifications:
Use: To change out the brush head, simply grip the handle in one hand, while grasping the brush head with the other. Slide the brush head out of the stainless steel clamp, and replace it with a new brush head.
Care: Give your brush a good rinse with water after use and shake it to remove excess moisture. Use the stainless steel loop to hang your brush up and away from water or excess humidity, allowing it to dry between uses. Never leave a wooden brush to sit in standing water or soak in a tub.
Hard water may cause black spots to form on the wood. This is often mistaken for mold, but is a sign of oxidation and is harmless to the wood.
Over time, wooden brushes may split with use. This is to be expected and we usually just pluck out any loose bristles and proceed to use the brush for as long as we can.
Eventually, all wooden brushes will need to be replaced, and we can do so with the satisfaction of knowing they will break down in the landfill much faster than their plastic cousins!
