Leather and Brass Clip Pen Holder

Keep your most cherished writing utensils close at hand with The Superior Labor's leather and brass pen clip. Simply constructed, it features two leather pen loops stitched onto a leather base. A wide brass clip on the back ensures a secure grip on your notebooks and journals and features an engraving bearing The Superior Labor's "Standard and Strong" logo and motto, which reads "We take pride in craftsmanship and never skimp on time and effort".

The loops can accommodate a wide range of pen widths, but narrower pens will be most secure if they have a clip that can slide over the leather for security. We have found that pens measuring around 15mm diameter are about the maximum width the loops can accommodate.

Materials:  brass and cow leather

Made by:  The Superior Labor

Made in: Japan

Specifications: 2.3" x 1.9" x 0.8"

The Superior Labor uses natural leather, which will develop scuffs and scratches over time. This is an intentional material choice and adds to the development of the leather's character and patina. Some scuffs or scratches may occur during the manufacturing process and therefore may be present when you receive your item.

Natural leather will vary in color, thickness, and texture. Photos show a close representation of these elements, but there may be slight variation in the finished product you receive.

As this clip is made by hand, some (slight) variation in the above measurements may be expected.

Brass products will take on a patina as they age, developing a rich, antiqued look. If you prefer the look of polished brass, metal polishes such as Brasso can be used to restore the original luster.

Further Reading:  As a child, Makoto Kawai would drill metal in his grandfather's workshop, where he associated the smell of burning iron and oil with the industry of hardworking adults. He eventually became an auto repairman himself and later worked at a secondhand clothing wholesaler. In the mid-90s, a trip to America to buy clothes led him to meet a leather craftsman, sparking his interest in leatherwork. In 2007, he founded The Superior Labor. His experience in auto repair has influenced the brand's manufacturing and their mission to take pride in craftsmanship and never skimp on time and effort.
