Wash Mitt

Copenhagen native Liv Berg creates these beautiful knit wash mitts in Paris, drawing inspiration from traditional Scandinavian cloths and cleansing mitts. 

Made with 100% organic cotton (GOTS certified) that is unbleached, Berg’s knitted mitts are naturally dyed with plants. They are knit in a seed stitch pattern, which gives the cloth a gentle texture, useful for exfoliation. A hanging loop is convenient for air drying.

Several natural plants are used in the dying of these cloths, including chamomile, weld and cutch (acacia).

Specifications:  Mitt measures approximately 8" x 4". It is designed to fit over most adult hands and will expand slightly when wet. 

Each washcloth is handmade and naturally dyed with plants, giving every piece its own subtle variation in size and color. Your washcloth may differ slightly from the one pictured.

Use: Some dye run-off or transfer may occur during use. 

Care:  After use, rinse, press water out, reshape while damp, and allow cloth to dry. 

Naturally dyed goods need special care to maintain their color.

• Wash with similar colors on a low-temperature cycle (40°C)
• Use natural laundry soap or detergent that has no bleaching agent.
• Let air dry or use a low-temperature cycle in the dryer.
• Always keep away from heat or direct sun so that the color will not fade.
