Handcrafted in Vermont with sustainably sourced hardwood, J.K. Adams' oval serving board is the perfect backdrop for crusty bread, fine cheeses, and charcuterie spreads. The slim, light design makes this a go-to serving piece for everyday use, while a small hole allows for easy hanging. The edge grain construction highlights the natural beauty of the wood, showcasing long, uninterrupted grain patterns that add an aesthetic appeal to its practical design. Each piece has a unique, distressed finish and is protected in tinted tung oil. 

In contrast to plastic, composite, or even glass cutting boards, wood is a natural and renewable material that is innately anti-microbial. Wood is able to naturally dry, and further kill bacteria, while other materials can harbor and encourage bacterial growth.

Care

Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with moisture and humidity. Regular regimented care of this product will protect it for years to come.

  • Hand wash with warm, soapy water after each use and dry thoroughly with a towel.
  • Never soak or submerge in water, run in a dishwasher, or use in a microwave.
  • Apply mineral oil and/or beeswax wood conditioner once a week with a lint free cloth to all surfaces (including edges and ends) until the finish is established, and at any time the rolling pin feels dry.
  • If at any time the grain of your product becomes raised, causing a rough feeling, a light buffing in the affected area with 200 grit sandpaper will smooth the finish. Reapply wood conditioner after this process.
