Acme Thunderer 60.5 Air Ministry Whistle

Regular price $24.00

A solid brass whistle based on the original Flight Jacket whistle worn by RAF & USAAF aircrews during World War II. Nicknamed the “Ditch” Whistle, it was used by pilots who had been shot down over the ocean to signal passing ships.

This Acme Thunderer features an antiqued finish, marked with the original WWII-era stamping dies from 1939 to 1945—reflecting its long, storied history. It emits a bright, piercing tone with a clear, commanding call that carries over long distances.
