Oolong for an Organic Future Tea

Regular price $18.00

Comins' Oolong for an Organic Future is a nutty, strong, and deliciously woody loose-leaf oolong tea from Nantou County, Taiwan. Jin Xuan tea leaves are known for producing oolong with creamy, milky tones and a smooth texture, complemented by an underlying sweetness.

About the farmers:  Tea production in Taiwan is highly collaborative, with numerous steps contracted out to small, specialized businesses. This oolong is the result of a partnership between two young brothers—who aim to gain organic certification for their family tea garden—and a master baker with a visionary plan to become carbon neutral or even carbon negative within the next two years.

In this highly networked tea system, their work has the potential to inspire others to follow the same path. In an industry that must attract and retain more young people, the hope is that this pioneering approach will demonstrate first-hand how exciting a positive, sustainable future in Taiwanese tea can be.
