This solid 18" x 12" Professional Edge Grain Maple Board is designed to provide ample workspace for food preparation and presentation, making it an essential kitchen tool. With its substantial weight and thickness, this board is built to withstand heavy chopping, dicing, and slicing tasks. Handcrafted from sustainably sourced North American hardwood, it features chamfered edges to prevent sharp corners and routed handles for easy lifting. The reversible design enhances its functionality, allowing both sides to be used.

In contrast to plastic, composite, or even glass cutting boards, wood is a natural and renewable material that is innately anti-microbial. Wood is able to naturally dry, and further kill bacteria, while other materials can harbor and encourage bacterial growth.

Care

Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with moisture and humidity. Regular regimented care of this product will protect it for years to come.

  • Hand wash with warm, soapy water after each use and dry thoroughly with a towel.
  • Never soak or submerge in water, run in a dishwasher, or use in a microwave.
  • Apply mineral oil and/or beeswax wood conditioner once a week with a lint free cloth to all surfaces (including edges and ends) until the finish is established, and at any time the rolling pin feels dry.
  • If at any time the grain of your product becomes raised, causing a rough feeling, a light buffing in the affected area with 200 grit sandpaper will smooth the finish. Reapply wood conditioner after this process.
