Handyaid Jar and Bottle Opener

The Handyaid is the same reliable jar and bottle opener that Grandma had in her kitchen. Originally designed and patented in Reading, Vermont, in 1941, its simple-but-effective design has withstood the test of time and earned it the status of an essential kitchen gadget.

Use it to open tight lids on bottles and jars, or for twisting off sharp soda caps. It's also handy for opening screw-top wine bottles and any lid that's too wide for easy gripping (we're looking at you, pickle jars). We've even used it on a nail polish bottle with a stuck-on cap!

Materials:  plastic

Made by:  Handyaid

Made in:  Plymouth, MA

Specifications:

  • 4.75"
  • latex free

Care: Wash often is warm soapsuds, rinse, dry with towel. The hundreds of suction cups on each side are most effective if clean.

Further Reading:  Originally designed and patented in Reading, Vermont, in 1941, the Handyaid is now proudly made in Plymouth, Massachusetts, by a family-owned company dedicated to carrying on the tradition of this beloved and dependable kitchen essential.
