Use

Fill your teapot with hot water, no higher than the spout, leaving room at the top for displacement.
Place your tea of choice into the strainer and gently lower the strainer into the water. Place the lid on top and allow to steep.
Remove the lid and place it bottom-up on a flat surface. Remove the strainer and place it on the lid to drain and cool.

The included strainer is designed for loose teas with larger, intact leaves, rather than broken-leaf teas, fannings, or dust. Finer tea particles may pass through the openings.

Care

Borosilicate glass is dishwasher safe. Make sure the components are secured in the dishwasher rack before running the dishwasher, and don't overcrowd.
