No. 13 Giant Folding Knife

Regular price $150.00

Added to Opinel's folding knife collection in the 1970's, the No. 13 Giant Folding Knife was created as more of a gimmick than anything else. The surprising popularity of the No.13 kept it in production, and all these years later it is still a favorite of collectors and Opinel enthusiasts across the globe.

Stretching nearly 20 inches in length when open, this knife truly is giant when compared to the rest of the Opinel line. While not commonly used in every day activities, folks have been known to use this knife while barbecuing - you can easily cut, poke, and flip steaks on the grill and the beechwood handle does not transfer heat. It's also prime for slicing watermelon! This size features the Virobloc® safety ring, which locks the blade in place when open.

Materials

varnished beechwood, stainless steel

Knife may arrive with a thin coating of clear, colorless oil. This is applied during the final stages of the manufacturing process to protect the blade and can be wiped off with a clean, soft cloth.

Specifications
  • 10.8" when closed, 19.75" when open
  • blade length measures 9"
