Crafted from sustainably sourced hardwood, the durable 20" Maple Carving Board is an essential tool for tackling everyday kitchen tasks. The spacious cutting surface with thick, sturdy maple is perfect for preparing large meals, slicing vegetables, and carving whole chickens or roasts. This large board also doubles as a serving platter or charcuterie board for gatherings or parties. A carved channel around the perimeter helps catch juice from roasts, tomatoes, or watermelons, keeping counters clean and dry.

The edge grain construction highlights the natural beauty of the wood, showcasing long, uninterrupted grain patterns that add an aesthetic appeal to its practical design. 

In contrast to plastic, composite, or even glass cutting boards, wood is a natural and renewable material that is innately anti-microbial. Wood is able to naturally dry, and further kill bacteria, while other materials can harbor and encourage bacterial growth.

Care

Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with moisture and humidity. Regular regimented care of this product will protect it for years to come.

  • Hand wash with warm, soapy water after each use and dry thoroughly with a towel.
  • Never soak or submerge in water, run in a dishwasher, or use in a microwave.
  • Apply mineral oil and/or beeswax wood conditioner once a week with a lint free cloth to all surfaces (including edges and ends) until the finish is established, and at any time the rolling pin feels dry.
  • If at any time the grain of your product becomes raised, causing a rough feeling, a light buffing in the affected area with 200 grit sandpaper will smooth the finish. Reapply wood conditioner after this process.
