Our guests have left and the tablecloth and napkins are washed and folded. We’ve eaten pumpkin pie for breakfast and made turkey sandwiches for lunch. And as I sit here, taking a moment to savor the last 36 hours, I am quietly reflecting on how grateful I am for all y’all.
Last year at this time we were entering a holiday season like no other. I had no idea what a pandemic holiday would mean for my business, but by the time Christmas came and went, I was humbled by the support you, our customers, had showed us.
Each and every time you shopped with us this year, you did something meaningful — to me, to my staff, and to small business owners everywhere.
So today, the day after our national day of thanks and on the eve of Small Business Saturday, I want to say thank you. Because I know y’all are still here, choosing small and making a difference.
Over the past year, I’ve done my usual purveying, searching near and far for products that I think will be just right for my customers and the loved ones they shop for. If it’s on our shelves, then it’s something I’d give to friends and family or have used and loved in my own home.
Take a peek at some of what I’ve found. I hope you’ll find meaningful presents here for everyone on your list.
