With the reopening of our Brookline location in Coolidge Corner comes something new: Inciardi Mini Print Machines, now available there and at our Dedham Square shop. These coin-operated machines dispense small-format prints by artist Anastasia Inciardi and are a fun way to take home a piece of her work.

About the Artist

Anastasia Inciardi is a relief printmaker based in Portland, Maine, by way of Brooklyn, New York. She designed her first Mini Print Vending Machine in 2020 during a quarter shortage, initially as a way to collect change for laundry. With accessibility in mind, she created an assortment of mini prints and priced them at $1 each. Her brightly colored vending machines offer a convenient and nostalgic way to share her art with a wide audience.

About the Prints

Each design starts as a linocut, a method of relief printing using ink rolled onto carved linoleum blocks. From there, the prints are reproduced using risograph printing, a process similar to screen printing that allows for bold color and larger runs. Inciardi’s designs range from food and snacks to birds and animals, everyday items, and landmarks.

Inciardi at BGS

Both of our Massachusetts shops have a Mini Print Vending Machine, stocked with a different assortment of designs that rotate regularly. In Brookline, you’ll find the machine in our stationery shop adjacent to the main space.

Our machines accept quarters (not tokens). We can provide change at the register (up to $5), but bringing your own is much appreciated.

We hope you enjoy this fun new addition to our shops!
