Sometimes it's the more understated accessories that make the biggest impact in our living spaces. Fog Linen's Brass Framed Mirror features a handcrafted, antique-finished brass frame and backing, bringing a touch of vintage charm to any room. With a convenient wall hook on the back, it's easy to hang and display in your home or office. A smaller Brass Framed Travel Mirror is also available.
Each piece is handcrafted in Moradabad, a city in northern India about a three-hour drive from Delhi, known for its rich metalworking tradition. From wire weaving to welding and finishing, every step is done by hand—often by a specialist focused on just one part of the process. For finer details, two artisans work side by side in quiet rhythm, their practiced hands moving with care and precision. Using time-honored techniques passed down through generations, every detail reflects the care, precision, and rhythm of many hands at work, making each piece not only functional, but meaningful.
Materials: brass, mirror
Made by: Fog Linen
Made in: India
Specifications: 4.8" x 4.8" x .3"
Due to the handmade nature of the product, there may be welding marks from the manufacturing process and slight color variations.
Care: Brass products will take on a patina as they age, developing a rich, antiqued look. If you prefer the look of polished brass, metal polishes such as Brasso can be used to restore the original luster.
Use: Install a hook or nail at the desired location on the wall. Hang the mirror’s back hook onto the hook or nail, ensuring it is straight and secure.
Further Reading: Yumiko Sekine started her first business in 1993, importing used books and housewares from Europe and America to Japan. In her search for products, she could not find affordable everyday linens like the ones she had used in her childhood. In 1999, Sekine visited Lithuania, where flax is grown to be spun into linen. She worked with a linen mill to produce her designs in Lithuania.
Sekine’s first collection started with only seven items. Today, Fog Linen produces an extensive line of linen products, as well as linen clothing, and has expanded to offer useful brass items for the home. She continues to be inspired to create beautiful, simple products for daily use.
