It was in the year 1760 that a superior of the ancient religious order of Meaux transmitted to the Pommery family the secret recipe of their marvelous specialty "Moutarde des Chanoines", the Abbot's Mustard. This mustard has been served at the tables of the kings of France since 1632.
The Pommery family has carefully guarded the secret of this recipe. Crafted from meticulously selected ingredients, its long shelf life is ensured by a stoneware jar and natural cork. Continuing a centuries-old tradition, this mustard is now exclusively produced by a father and son duo near Meaux, passed down through generations. It was honored as the Best Mustard in the World at the World-Wide Mustard Competition in 2019.
