Le Grand Tradi (the large traditional) is based on Goyon-Chazeau’s popular P’tit Tradi paring knife. In 2022, after having used her P’tit Tradi knife over and over again to prepare family meals, Magali Soucille had to cut a piece of beef too wide for the blade of her paring knife. She asked her husband Vincent to design a knife with the same qualities as the P’tit Tradi but more suitable for bigger foods, while remaining very handy. And so the Grand Tradi was born! It keeps with the P’tit Tradi’s philosophy: “everything is more enjoyable, always goes faster, and is always better done when you’re well equipped!”
Handmade in the Goyon-Chazeau workshop in Thiers, France, this superior quality knife is made from one of the best cutlery steels available: Sandvik 14C28N steel, enriched with carbon. The ebony and sapwood handle is smooth and comfortable in the hand, as any frequently reached-for tool should be. The two-toned wood has marked shades ranging from honey to brown. Also called Mozambic ebony, it is the hardest, densest, and most waterproof of all raw woods.

We recommend washing the Grand Tradi by hand with a soft sponge.
Do not leave the handle in prolonged contact with water or a heat source.
Wood handled knives shouldnever go in the dishwasher.
Wipe off as soon as washing is finished.
Store in a dry place.
Sharpen the cutting edge as soon as the knife seems to give more resistance when cutting.
