Use: Swaddling blankets are intended to be wrapped snuggly around baby using swaddling techniques designed to prevent the blanket from coming unwrapped. Loose blankets are not recommended in babies' sleeping areas. To prevent overheating, the American Academy of Pediatricians recommends dressing your baby for sleep in only one more layer than you would wear in the same environment. Head coverings are not recommended for use on sleeping babies due to overheating and suffocation risk, so we recommend swaddling baby without the hood for bedtime and using the hood only when baby is supervised.
