Coptic Marbled Paper Notebooks

Marbled paper has been used in Italy for covering books since the XVIIth century. These beautiful hand-bound books are covered with paper that is hand marbled in a woman-owned workshop in Florence, Italy. Each notebook is unique.

The paper used for the interior pages of the notebooks comes from either Japan or Kyoto and is purchased directly from specialized shops. A hand-sewn Coptic binding allows this hardcover book to lay flat when open, making it easier to fill with writing and sketches.

Also available with a standard hardcover binding. See our listing for Hardcover Marbled Paper Notebook
