A lake pigment that is lightfast and opaque and very smooth to paint with, Blackcurrant Red Lake is made from a French mineral pigment that is fixed to a natural calcium carbonate base, which gives these specific lake pigments a soft, velvety, and matte finish when dry.
Materials: pigment mixed with watercolor binding medium made from distilled water, glycerin, honey, and gum arabic (sap from the acacia tree)
