This English-language, weekly-edition Hobonichi Techo is a compact book that’s easy to carry everywhere. Each page spread offers a week of planning and a blank page for note-taking. The book is slim and portable — roughly the size of a long wallet — with plenty of cover designs to choose from. The main layout of the book consists of a weekly calendar on the left page and blank graph paper on the right page. Each weekly spread also contains the characteristic Hobonichi quote on the bottom of the page.
Though it appears slim at first glance, the Weeks book contains a full year's worth of pages along with 71 graph-ruled memo pages at the end for note-taking. It's crafted from Tomoe River Paper, which is thin yet strong and resistant to ink bleeding and feathering.
Constructed like a light hardcover book, the cover has some give to it so it bends a bit in the hand.
About the cover design:These geometric patterns in pastel colors are actually based on Tanabata decorations from long ago. This design is accented with red lines that appear as threads. The leaves and layers of paper give this design so much to offer that you'll never tire looking at it. The back of the book is a blue-green to match the leaves on the front.
