Colors Series
The Colors series is regularly offered as part of Hobonichi’s releases. This series combines solid color fabric covers with contrasting elements. These covers feature design details like bookmarks, interior pockets, and butterfly pen holders designed to keep the book closed when not in use. Colors series covers are ideal for anyone new to the Hobonichi Techo system.
New for 2024 are colorways Cherry Blossom Avenue, Sunrise Blue, and Highway.
Leather
Hobonichi also offers a selection of leather covers for those looking to invest in a premium cover with classic styling. Their black leather cover has been a staple for ten years and was designed by graphic designer Taku Satoh, who provides design direction for the Hobonichi line.
New for 2024 are leather colors Water Green, Silent Night, and Taut (Bordeaux).
Artist Collaborations
With every new collection, Hobonichi introduces a variety of covers that feature the designs of Japanese artists and illustrators. These collaborations provide options that vary from whimsical drawings to embroidered fabrics to designs based on popular Japanese video games.
New for 2024 are collaborations with Jin Kitamura (Love it Panda), Yumi Kitagishi (Little Gifts), Hiroko Kubota (Twinkle-shells), and Taro Okamoto (Golden Mask).
A collaboration with Britain’s Liberty Fabrics resulted in two books covered in their quintessential cotton florals: The Techo Cover Original A6 in “Orange Hollyhock” and the Techo Book Weeks “Emma & Georgina”.
Bow & Tie
Hobonichi’s Bow & Tie series is a popular one among customers. Featuring small motifs woven into bowtie material, these covers stand out among the others and are anxiously anticipated by fans with every release. We are offering two Techo Book Weeks from the Bow & Tie series: Cats & Me, with a family of sweet cats waiting to play with a ball of yarn, and Tiny Dragons, a design featuring seahorses. 2024 is the year of the dragon, and in Japanese, the word for seahorse translates to “child of a dragon”.
With these covers and more, we hope to offer our customers options for their every mood, season, or day of the week! Take a look at the full offering and choose your favorite.
