Green Special Edition Tin Biscotti di Prato with Almonds

A beautiful green tin filled with authentic Antonio Mattei Biscotti di Prato with Almonds. This biscotti tin continues the line of special edition tinscelebrating Tuscany designed by talented Florentine illustrators, Simone Massoni and his wife Ilaria Falorsi. Inspired by the geometric grids of maps, the illustrators highlighted a few of the iconic monuments of Tuscany as well as the historic Biscottificio Antonio Mattei. The green color recalls the wonderful Tuscan countryside and hills in Chianti or Maremma, or the thick woods in Casentino or Lunigiana in early spring.

The classic Biscotti di Prato are firm, light, and crunchy twice-baked cookies packed with pieces of almond. It's made from the original guarded recipe from 1858 and named after the town from which the Pandolfini family run this historic Biscottificio. Biscotti Mattei are considered throughout Tuscany and Italy as the standard-bearer of all biscotti—the size, texture, taste and aroma of which Italians consider the real thing, and the one every Tuscan family stocks in their pantry.

Traditionally served at the end of the meal with a glass of sweet Tuscan Vin Santo. Serve alongside panna cotta, gelato, or as part of an afternoon tea
