Tampico Fiber comes from the Agave lechuguilla plant which is an agave species found only in the Chihuahuan Desert. The leaves are long, tough and rigid. Historically the fibers from these plants have been used to make ropes and mats but nowadays Tampico fiber is being used to make quality industrial brushes. It is resistant to most chemicals, alkaline and acidic solutions and heat.
Union Fiber is a mixture of tampico fiber and palmyra fiber.
